Unexpected Red Theory
Red is having a moment with unexpected red theory dominating interior magazines and social media.
Unexpected red theory is the practice of adding a dose of red into your interior scheme, through furniture, cushions, objects or even paint for drama and impact. Red can be an overwhelming colour - it creates the greatest wavelength or all colours meaning it can be viewed from far away and so is used red lights & road signs, it also makes us alert and when used too much can create a feeling of anxiety. On the contrary when used in smaller doses, popped into a room, it can create points of interest, make a scheme sing and keep the room interesting.
